North Carolina High School Soccer - Mount Tabor knocks off Watauga
September 21, 2024: Boone, NC 28607 Fans at Saturday's non-league battle between the Mount Tabor Spartans (Winston-Salem, NC) and the host Watauga Pioneers (Boone, NC), saw Mount Tabor's soccer squad knock off Watauga by a count of 4-1.
The Spartans (8-2) will now prepare for their battle against Glenn (Kernersville, NC). The Bobcats enter the Central Piedmont 4A battle with a 8-3 record. In their last battle, Glenn by West Forsyth (Clemmons, NC), 2-1, in a league battle.
Next up, the Pioneers confront the South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A battle, on Wednesday, September 25. Watauga will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Spartans enter the battle with a 6-3 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).
