September 22, 2021: Mt. Zion, IL 62549 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league test between the Mt. Zion Braves (Mt. Zion, IL) and the visiting St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL), saw Mt. Zion's soccer squad triumph over St. Teresa by a margin of 7-0.
The Braves now sport a 5-7 record. They play next when they travel to Belleville West for a non-league test on Friday, September 24. Mt. Zion will meet a Maroons squad coming off a 4-0 league loss to Collinsville (Collinsville, IL). The Maroons record now stands at 2-6.
With the loss, St. Teresa drops to 2-10 on the season. The Bulldogs host Springfield Southeast (Springfield, IL) to meet the Spartans in a non-league test on Saturday, September 25. The Spartans come into the test with a record of 2-7. Springfield Southeast lost 8-0 in their recent non-league test against Williamsville (Williamsville, IL)
