September 22, 2022: Springfield, VA 22150 In Thursday's non-league game, the Woodson Cavaliers (Fairfax, VA) football team knocked off the host Lewis Lancers (Springfield, VA), by a score of 30-6.
The Cavaliers (2-0) will now prepare for their game against Centreville (Clifton, VA). The Wildcats come into the non-league game with a 3-0 record. In their last game, Centreville toppled Wakefield (The Plains, VA), 35-0, in a non-league game.
The Lancers now sport a 0-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to West Potomac for a non-league game on Thursday, September 29. Lewis will battle a Wolverines team coming off a 46-6 non-league win over Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, SD). The Wolverines record now stands at 5-0.
