September 22, 2023: Smackover, AR 71762 In Friday's non-league match, the host Smackover Buckaroos football squad scored a close 12-8 victory over the Bowie Pirates.
In their next game, the Buckaroos clash with the Junction City Dragons (Junction City, AR) in a 3A Region 5 match, on Friday, October 6. Smackover will attempt to move on its 2-2 season record.
The Pirates (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Maud (Maud, TX). The Cardinals enter the 2A-2 Region III District 9 match with a 1-3 record. In their last match, Maud was nudged by Iola (Iola, TX), 44-14, in a non-league match.
