Illinois High School Football - Carlinville beat Southwestern
September 22, 2023: Carlinville, IL 62626 The Carlinville Cavaliers football team scored 27 points and held the visiting Southwestern Piasa Birds to 14 in the Cavaliers league triumph on Friday.
The Cavaliers (3-2) will now prepare for their challenge against North Mac (Virden, IL). The Panthers come into the South Central challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, North Mac was knocked off by Vandalia (Vandalia, IL), 59-34, in a league challenge.
The Piasa Birds now sport a 2-3 record. They take the field next when they host Staunton/Bunker Hill for a South Central challenge on Friday, September 29. Southwestern will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 38-16 league win over Gillespie (Gillespie, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-3.
