With the win, Wayne Academy upgrades its record to 4-2 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Centreville Academy (Centreville, MS) to encounter the Tigers in a MAIS 4A District 3 bout on Friday, September 29. The Tigers enter the bout with a record of 5-1. Centreville Academy won 34-21 in their recent non-league bout against St. Patrick (Biloxi, MS)
The rams (0-6) will now prepare for their bout against Carroll Academy (Carrollton, MS). The Rebels enter the MAIS 3A District 1 bout with a 1-5 record. In their last bout, Carroll Academy was crushed by Kirk Academy (Grenada, MS), 36-33, in a league bout.
