The crowd at Friday's non-league contest between the Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) and the visiting Franklin Knights (Franklin, PA), observed Mercyhurst Prep's football squad bounce Franklin by a count of 66-6.

The Lakers now own a 5-0 record. They play next when they travel to Mercer for a non-league contest on Wednesday, September 27. Mercyhurst Prep will encounter a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-13 league loss to Cochranton (Cochranton, PA). The Mustangs record now stands at 2-3.
