September 22, 2023: Mt. Pleasant, PA 15666 Mt. Pleasant Vikings (Mt. Pleasant, PA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the visiting Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA), 45-23 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Mt. Pleasant improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Vikings travel to Greensburg Salem (Greensburg, PA) to battle the Golden Lions in a WPIAL AAA Interstate test on Friday, September 29. The Golden Lions come into the test with a record of 1-4. Greensburg Salem lost 42-0 in their recent non-league test against East Allegheny (North Versailles, PA)
With the loss, Freeport drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Shady Side Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) to battle the Bulldogs in a WPIAL AAA Allegheny 6 test on Friday, September 29. The Bulldogs come into the test with a record of 3-2. Shady Side Academy won 57-14 in their recent non-league test against South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA)
