Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team rout the visiting Stringer Red Devils (Stringer, MS), 49-8 in a non-league test.

With the win, Loyd Star improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Hornets host Wilkinson County (Woodville, MS) to confront the Wildcats in a 2A Region 7 test on Friday, September 29. The Wildcats go into the test with a record of 1-4. Wilkinson County lost 46-14 in their recent non-league test against Franklin County (Meadville, MS)

With the loss, Stringer moves to 1-4 on the season. The Red devils host Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS) to confront the Tigers in a non-league test on Friday, October 6. The Tigers go into the test with a record of 1-4.
