Tahoka Bulldogs (Tahoka, TX) fans left the game satisfied Friday as they observed their football team nudge the visiting Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX), 42-36 in a non-league test.

With the win, Tahoka improves its record to 2-3 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to New Deal (New Deal, TX) to confront the Lions in a 2A-1 Region I District 2 test on Friday, October 6. The Lions go into the test with a record of 2-3. New Deal won 41-3 in their recent non-league test against Vega (Vega, TX)

With the loss, Ropes moves to 2-3 on the season. The Eagles host Smyer (Smyer, TX) to confront the Bobcats in a 2A-2 Region I District 4 test on Friday, October 6. The Bobcats go into the test with a record of 1-4. Smyer lost 32-0 in their recent non-league test against Cross Plains (Cross Plains, TX)
