Kentucky High School Soccer - Marshall County knocks off Mayfield
September 22, 2025: Mayfield, KY 42066 Marshall County Marshals (Benton, KY) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they witnessed their soccer team triumph over the host Mayfield Cardinals (Mayfield, KY), 8-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Marshall County moves its record to 8-0 on the campaign. The Marshals travel to Greenwood (Bowling Green, KY) to clash with the Gators in a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. The Gators come into the test with a record of 3-2.
The Cardinals now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they host Hopkinsville for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Mayfield will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Crittenden County (Marion, KY). The Tigers record now stands at 4-5.
