Ohio High School Soccer - Mt. Vernon nudges Buckeye Valley
September 22, 2025: Delaware, OH 43015 Fans at Monday's non-league battle between the Mt. Vernon Yellowjackets (Mt. Vernon, OH) and the host Buckeye Valley Barons (Delaware, OH), saw Mt. Vernon's soccer squad hold off Buckeye Valley by a count of 1-0.
The Yellowjackets (3-7) will now prepare for their battle against Licking Heights (Pataskala, OH). The Hornets enter the Licking County battle with a 8-5 record. In their last battle, Licking Heights tipped Liberty Union (Baltimore, OH), 3-1, in a non-league battle.
Next up, the Barons battle the Franklin Heights Falcons (Columbus, OH) in a Central Buckeye battle, on Wednesday, September 24. Buckeye Valley will attempt to upgrade on its 5-5 season record. The Falcons enter the battle with a 2-7 record after their 9-0 league loss to Worthington Christian (Worthington, OH).
