Illinois High School Soccer - Springfield Southeast knocks off Taylorville
September 22, 2025: Taylorville, IL 62568 In Monday's non-league outing, the visiting Springfield Southeast Spartans soccer team scored a close 5-0 triumph over the Taylorville Tornadoes.
With the triumph, Springfield Southeast advances its record to 2-10 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Springfield (Springfield, IL) to clash with the Senators in a Central State Eight test on Tuesday, September 23. The Senators come into the test with a record of 8-4. Springfield won 3-1 in their recent league test against Sacred Heart-Griffin (Springfield, IL)
The Tornadoes now have a 1-11 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vandalia for a non-league test on Tuesday, September 23. Taylorville will play a Vandals squad coming off a 4-0 non-league win over Illinois School for the Deaf (Jacksonville, IL). The Vandals record now stands at 1-8.
