The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA) and the visiting Morrow Mustangs (Morrow, GA), observed Sandy Creek's softball team prevail over Morrow by a tally of 16-1.

The Patriots (5-13) will now prepare for their bout against Fayette County (Fayetteville, GA). The Tigers enter the 3A Region 2 contest with a 6-12 record. In their last contest, Fayette County was routed by Spalding (Griffin, GA), 14-13, in a league contest.

The Mustangs now hold a 1-12 record. They play next when they travel to Lovejoy for a 5A Region 3 contest on Tuesday, September 23. Morrow will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 14-2 league win over Banneker (College Park, GA). The Wildcats record now stands at 6-5.
