Boyd County Lions (Ashland, KY) fans were thrilled Thursday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the host West Carter Comets (Olive Hill, KY), 8-2 in a non-league challenge.

Next, the Lions face the Spring Valley Timberwolves (Huntington, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, September 30. Boyd County will attempt to better on its 13-2 season record.

The Comets now have a 1-8 record. They take the field next when they travel to East Carter for a District 62 challenge on Monday, September 27.
