The Winona Christian Stars football team (Winona, MS), was knocked off 49-21 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Central Holmes Christian Trojans (Lexington, MS)

The Trojans (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Canton Academy (Canton, MS). The Panthers come into the MAIS 3A District 2 challenge with a 5-1 record. In their last challenge, Canton Academy was knocked off by Tri-County Academy (Flora, MS), 48-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Stars now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Delta Streets Academy for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 30. Winona Christian will meet a Lions team coming off a 13-2 non-league win over Benton Academy (Benton, MS). The Lions record now stands at 1-5.
