In Friday's non-league match, the host Emerald Vikings football squad scored a close 17-10 victory over the Crescent Tigers.

In their next game, the Vikings clash with the Eastside Eagles (Taylors, SC) in a non-league match, on Friday, September 30. Emerald will attempt to move on its 3-2 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 2-3 record after their 35-28 non-league loss to Travelers Rest (Travelers Rest, SC).

The Tigers (2-3) will now prepare for their match against Seneca (Seneca, SC). The Bobcats enter the AAA Region 1 match with a 4-1 record. In their last match, Seneca held off Woodmont (Piedmont, SC), 34-26, in a non-league match.
