The Hixson Wildcats (Hixson, TN) football nudged the host Howard Tech Hustlin' Tigers (Chattanooga, TN), 17-14 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Wildcats face the Red Bank Lions (Chattanooga, TN) in a 4A Region 3 bout, on Friday, September 30. Hixson will attempt to move on its 4-2 season record. The Lions enter the bout with a 5-0 record after their 7-3 non-league win over Rhea County (Evensville, TN).
