September 23, 2022: Mitchell, SD 57301 In Friday's league match, the visiting Jefferson Cavaliers football squad scored a big 49-7 victory over the Mitchell Kernels.
In their next game, the Cavaliers clash with the O'Gorman Knights (Sioux Falls, SD) in a Eastern South Dakota - AAA match, on Friday, September 30. Jefferson will attempt to move on its 5-0 season record. The Knights enter the match with a 4-1 record after their 35-28 league win over Lincoln (Sioux Falls, SD).
The Kernels (1-4) will now prepare for their match against Spearfish (Spearfish, SD). The Spartans enter the non-league match with a 2-3 record. In their last match, Spearfish routed Belle Fourche (Belle Fourche, SD), 40-12, in a non-league match.
