September 23, 2023: Decatur, AL 35601 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Austin Black Bears (Decatur, AL) and the visiting Phil Campbell Bobcats (Phil Campbell, AL), saw Austin's volleyball squad beat Phil Campbell by a tally of 25-10.
With the win, Austin upgrades its record to 12-20 on the year. The Black Bears host Grissom (Huntsville, AL) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 7-19. Grissom won 2-1 in their recent non-league bout against Boaz (Boaz, AL)
The Bobcats now own a 8-14 record. They play next when they travel to Itawamba Agricultural for a non-league bout on Monday, September 25. Phil Campbell will play a Indians squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Amory (Amory, MS). The Indians record now stands at 12-6.
