In Saturday's non-league battle, the Mica Mountain Thunderbolts (Tucson, AZ) volleyball team defeated the visiting Saguaro Sabercats (Scottsdale, AZ), by a count of 2-0.

The Thunderbolts (15-2) will now prepare for their battle against Campo Verde (Gilbert, AZ). The Coyotes come into the non-league battle with a 8-10 record. In their last battle, Campo Verde defeated Parker (Parker, AZ), 2-1, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Sabercats encounter the Seton Catholic Sentinels (Chandler, AZ) in a 4A - Desert Sky battle, on Tuesday, September 26. Saguaro will attempt to move on its 14-5 season record. The Sentinels come into the battle with a 3-6 record after their 3-0 league loss to Arcadia (Phoenix, AZ).
