September 23, 2023: Nevada, IA 50201 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA) and the visiting Van Meter Bulldogs (Van Meter, IA), saw Nevada's volleyball squad beat Van Meter by a tally of 2-0.
With the win, Nevada upgrades its record to 16-10 on the year. The Cubs travel to Norwalk (Norwalk, IA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, September 23. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 14-10. Norwalk won 3-2 in their recent league bout against Pella (Pella, IA)
The Bulldogs now own a 10-9 record. They play next when they host Pleasantville for a West Central bout on Tuesday, September 26. Van Meter will play a Trojans squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Madrid (Madrid, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 16-6.
