September 23, 2024: Newport, NC 28570 Ashley Screaming Eagle (Wilmington, NC) backers exited the stadium pleased Monday as they witnessed their soccer team knock off the host Croatan Cougars (Newport, NC), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the triumph, Ashley advances its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Screaming Eagle travel to West Brunswick (Shallotte, NC) to clash with the Trojans in a non-league test on Thursday, September 26. The Trojans come into the test with a record of 4-2. West Brunswick lost 3-0 in their recent non-league test against Laney (Wilmington, NC)
The Cougars now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Swansboro for a match on Tuesday, October 1.
