September 23, 2024: Champaign, IL 61820 Hoopeston Cornjerkers (Hoopeston, IL) followers left the game satisfied Monday as they saw their volleyball squad achieve victory over the host Judah Christian Tribe (Champaign, IL), 2-0 in a non-league test.
With the win, Hoopeston advances its record to 3-5 on the season. The Cornjerkers travel to Oakwood (Fithian, IL) to face the Comets in a test on Tuesday, September 24. The Comets go into the test with a record of 1-0. Oakwood won 2-1 in their recent non-league test against Heritage (Broadlands, IL)
The Tribe now sport a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenview for a test on Tuesday, October 1. Judah Christian will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 2-1 league win over Illini Central (Mason City, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 4-3.
