Iowa High School Football - North Polk can't get by Algona
September 24, 2021: Algona, IA 50511 Algona Bulldogs (Algona, IA) fans left the game content Friday as they saw their football team nip the visiting North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA), 28-27 in a league test.
With the triumph, Algona improves its record to 4-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Gilbert (Gilbert, IA) to confront the Tigers in a 3A District 2 test on Friday, October 1. The Tigers come into the test with a record of 0-5. Gilbert lost 56-14 in their recent league test against Nevada (Nevada, IA)
With the loss, North Polk drops to 2-3 on the campaign. The Comets host Humboldt (Humboldt, IA) to confront the Wildcats in a 3A District 2 test on Friday, October 1. The Wildcats come into the test with a record of 5-0. Humboldt won 40-0 in their recent league game against Ballard (Huxley, IA)
