In Friday's league game, the Brewer Bears (Fort Worth, TX) football team smashed the host Crowley Eagles (Crowley, TX), by a score of 53-21.

The Bears (4-1) will now prepare for their game against Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Pirates come into the 5A-1 Region I District 3 game with a 3-2 record. In their last game, Granbury was ripped by Cooper (Abilene, TX), 56-34, in a league game.

The Eagles now sport a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Azle for a 5A-1 Region I District 3 game on Friday, October 8. Crowley will battle a Hornets team coming off a 65-0 league win over Saginaw (Saginaw, TX). The Hornets record now stands at 4-1.
