In Friday's league match, the host Lancaster Golden Gales football squad scored a good 35-20 victory over the Central Crossing Comets.

In their next game, the Golden Gales clash with the Groveport-Madison Cruisers (Groveport, OH) in a Ohio Capital - Ohio match, on Friday, October 1. Lancaster will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Cruisers enter the match with a 2-4 record after their 39-3 league loss to Reynoldsburg (Reynoldsburg, OH).
