The El Paso Tigers (El Paso, TX) football edged the visiting Irvin Rockets (El Paso, TX), 41-35 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Ysleta Indians (El Paso, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, October 1. El Paso will attempt to advance on its 1-3 season record. The Indians enter the bout with a 3-2 record after their 52-14 non-league loss to El Dorado (El Paso, TX).

The Rockets (2-3) will now prepare for their bout against Jefferson (El Paso, TX). The Silver Foxes enter the 5A-2 Region I District 2 bout with a 3-2 record. In their last bout, Jefferson was nudged by Burges (El Paso, TX), 28-22, in a league bout.
