In Friday's league match, the host Houghton Lake Bobcats football squad scored a good 34-20 victory over the Roscommon Bucks.

In their next game, the Bobcats clash with the Evart Wildcats (Evart, MI) in a Highland match, on Friday, October 1. Houghton Lake will attempt to move on its 1-4 season record. The Wildcats enter the match with a 4-1 record after their 55-20 league loss to Beal City (Mt. Pleasant, MI).
