In Friday's league match, the host Magnolia School of Excellence football squad scored a close 30-26 victory over the Ringgold Redskins.

In their next game, the clash with the Glenbrook Apaches (Minden, LA) in a 1A District 1 match, on Friday, October 1. Magnolia School of Excellence will attempt to move on its 1-3 season record. The Apaches enter the match with a 2-2 record after their 36-21 league loss to Homer (Homer, LA).
