California High School Volleyball - Bishop O'Dowd tips Balboa
September 24, 2022: San Francisco, CA 94112 The crowd at Saturday's non-league bout between the Bishop O'Dowd Dragons (Oakland, CA) and the host Balboa Buccaneers (San Francisco, CA), saw Bishop O'Dowd's volleyball squad nip Balboa by a tally of 2-1.
With the win, Bishop O'Dowd upgrades its record to 17-5 on the year. The Dragons host Encinal (Alameda, CA) to play the Jets in a West Alameda County - Foothill bout on Monday, September 26. The Jets go into the bout with a record of 2-13. Encinal lost 2-0 in their recent non-league bout against Northgate (Walnut Creek, CA)
The Buccaneers now own a 10-4 record. They play next when they host Lincoln for a Academic Athletic Association bout on Tuesday, September 27. Balboa will play a Mustangs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Immaculate Conception (San Francisco, CA). The Mustangs record now stands at 5-6.
