Georgia High School Softball - River Ridge bounces Cherokee
September 24, 2024: Woodstock, GA 30188 The River Ridge Knights softball team scored 9 runs and held the visiting Cherokee Warriors to 0 in the Knights non-league win on Tuesday.
The Knights now sport a 9-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lassiter for a 5A Region 6 battle on Thursday, September 26. River Ridge will confront a Trojans team coming off a 12-0 non-league win over Walton (Marietta, GA). The Trojans record now stands at 15-4.
With the loss, Cherokee moves to 8-14 on the season. The Warriors host Etowah (Woodstock, GA) to confront the Eagles in a 6A Region 5 battle on Tuesday, October 1. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 8-8.
