Maine High School Volleyball - Thornton Academy over Deering
September 24, 2024: Portland, ME 04103 Fans at Tuesday's league contest between the Thornton Academy Trojans (Saco, ME) and the host Deering Rams (Portland, ME), observed Thornton Academy's volleyball team top Deering by a count of 3-0.
The Trojans (4-2) will now prepare for their contest against Noble (North Berwick, ME). The Knights enter the Class A contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Noble was knocked off by Sanford (Sanford, ME), 3-1, in a league contest.
Next, the Rams battle the Brunswick Dragons (Brunswick, ME) in a Class A contest, on Saturday, September 28. Deering will attempt to move on its 1-6 season record. The Dragons enter the contest with a 2-5 record after their 3-1 league loss to South Portland (South Portland, ME).
