East Central Trojans (St. Leon, IN) boosters exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they witnessed their soccer team beat the visiting Mt. Vernon Marauders (Fortville, IN), 5-1 in a non-league test.

With the triumph, East Central improves its record to 10-2 on the season. The Trojans host Avon (Avon, IN) to confront the Orioles in a non-league outing on Saturday, September 27. The Orioles enter the outing with a record of 7-6. Avon lost 3-0 in their recent league outing against Fishers (Fishers, IN)

Next up, the Marauders confront the Delta Eagles (Muncie, IN) in a Hoosier Heritage test, on Saturday, September 27. Mt. Vernon will attempt to move on its 6-5 season record. The Eagles come into the test with a 12-1 record after their 10-0 non-league win over Wapahani (Selma, IN).
