Maryland High School Soccer - Wootton toppled by Walter Johnson
September 24, 2025: Rockville, MD 20850 Walter Johnson Wildcats (Bethesda, MD) fans went home in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their soccer squad triumph over the host Wootton Patriots (Rockville, MD), 5-0 in a non-league outing.
The Wildcats (2-0) will now prepare for their outing against Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, MD). The Barons go into the non-league outing with a 4-0 record. In their last outing, Bethesda-Chevy Chase got by Churchill (Potomac, MD), 4-0, in a non-league test.
The Patriots now sport a 3-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Churchill for a non-league test on Saturday, September 27. Wootton will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Whitman (Bethesda, MD). The Bulldogs record now stands at 3-3.
