Maine High School Football - Cheverus topples Spruce Mountain
September 25, 2021: Jay, ME 04239 The Cheverus Stags (Portland, ME) football defeated the host Spruce Mountain Phoenix (Jay, ME), 34-8 in Saturday's league bout.
In their next game, the Stags face the Mt. Ararat/Hyde (Topsham, ME) in a 8-Man Large South (8 Man) bout, on Friday, October 1. Cheverus will attempt to move on its 2-0 season record. The enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 52-20 league win over Lake Region (Naples, ME).
The Phoenix (2-2) will now prepare for their bout against Gray-New Gloucester (Gray, ME). The Patriots enter the 8-Man Large South (8 Man) bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Gray-New Gloucester defeated Yarmouth (Yarmouth, ME), 40-14, in a league bout.
