September 25, 2021: Downers Grove, IL 60515 Downers Grove North Trojans (Downers Grove, IL) supporters were pleased Saturday as they observed their soccer team knock off the visiting Hinsdale South Hornets (Darien, IL), 4-1 in a non-league challenge.
Next, the Trojans confront the Oak Park-River Forest Huskies (Oak Park, IL) in a West Suburban - Silver challenge, on Tuesday, September 28. Downers Grove North will attempt to move on its 4-9 season record. The Huskies enter the challenge with a 9-2 record after their 1-0 non-league win over Fenwick (Oak Park, IL).
The Hornets now possess a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Leyden for a West Suburban - Gold challenge on Tuesday, September 28. Hinsdale South will confront a Eagles team coming off a 3-1 non-league loss to Plainfield East (Plainfield, IL). The Eagles record now stands at 4-9.
