September 25, 2024: Pittsboro, NC 27312 The crowd at Wednesday's non-league contest between the Rockingham County Cougars (Wentworth, NC) and the host Northwood Chargers (Pittsboro, NC), witnessed Rockingham County's football squad edge Northwood by a tally of 20-14.
The Cougars (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 2-2 record. In their last contest, Eastern Guilford got by Northeast Guilford (McLeansville, NC), 29-0, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Chargers battle the Seaforth Hawks (Pittsboro, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 3. Northwood will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Hawks enter the contest with a 1-2 record after their 34-0 non-league loss to Fike (Wilson, NC).
