The L.W. Higgins Hurricanes football team (Marrero, LA), was crushed 49-0 in Thursday's non-league bout with the host Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA)

With the win, Hammond advances its record to 3-1 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Slidell (Slidell, LA) to encounter the Tigers in a non-league bout on Thursday, October 2. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 3-1. Slidell won 28-14 in their recent non-league contest against Mandeville (Mandeville, LA)

Coming up next, the Hurricanes battle the Eleanor McMain Mustangs (New Orleans, LA) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 2. L.W. Higgins will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record.
