The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Hunt Warriors (Wilson, NC) and the host Southern Wayne Saints (Dudley, NC), witnessed Hunt's football squad wallop Southern Wayne by a tally of 63-0.

The Warriors (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Southern Nash (Bailey, NC). The Firebirds enter the Big East 5A/6A contest with a 5-1 record.

Coming up next, the Saints battle the Rocky Mount Gryphons (Rocky Mount, NC) in a Big East 5A/6A contest, on Friday, October 3. Southern Wayne will attempt to better on its 2-4 season record. The Gryphons enter the contest with a 4-1 record after their 42-14 league win over Fike (Wilson, NC).
