Texas High School Football - Ball thwarted by Sterling
September 25, 2025: Galveston, TX 77550 Sterling Rangers (Baytown, TX) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Ball Tornadoes (Galveston, TX), 24-14 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sterling improves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Rangers host Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX) to meet the Eagles in a non-league test on Wednesday, October 1. The Eagles come into the test with a record of 1-0. Barbers Hill won 19-7 in their recent non-league test against Lufkin (Lufkin, TX)
With the defeat, Ball moves to 0-1 on the season. The Tornadoes travel to Barbers Hill (Mt. Belvieu, TX) to play the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Thursday, October 23. The Eagles go into the challenge with a record of 1-0.
