Oregon High School Soccer - Taft toppled by Rainier
September 25, 2025: Rainier, OR 97048 The Rainier Columbians smashed the visiting Taft Tigers soccer team by a tally of 5-1 in Thursday's non-league bout.
The Columbians now hold a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Seaside for a 4A Cowapa bout on Tuesday, September 30. Rainier will play a Seagulls squad coming off a 3-0 league loss to Scappoose (Scappoose, OR). The Seagulls record now stands at 1-5.
With the loss, Taft moves to 2-4 on the year. The Tigers host Portland Christian (Portland, OR) to face the Royals in a non-league game on Saturday, September 27. The Royals enter the game with a record of 0-3. Portland Christian lost 8-0 in their recent league game against Westside Christian (Lake Oswego, OR)
