The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans football squad scored 12 points and limited the host East Rowan Mustangs to 6 in the Trojans non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Trojans now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Carson for a non-league test on Thursday, October 2. Northwest Cabarrus will face a Cougars team coming off a 20-14 non-league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 3-2.

The Mustangs (2-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Salisbury (Salisbury, NC). The Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 1-4 record. In their last challenge, Salisbury was edged by Jay M. Robinson (Concord, NC), 36-12, in a non-league challenge.
