Virginia High School Football - Godwin tops J.R. Tucker
September 25, 2025: Henrico, VA 23294 The Godwin Eagles football squad scored 28 points and limited the host J.R. Tucker Tigers to 6 in the Eagles non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Eagles now sport a 1-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Hermitage for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, October 1. Godwin will face a Panthers team coming off a 35-0 non-league win over Deep Run (Glen Allen, VA). The Panthers record now stands at 4-1.
The Tigers (0-5) will now prepare for their challenge against Freeman (Richmond, VA). The Mavericks come into the non-league test with a 4-0 record. In their last test, Freeman topped Prince George (Prince George, VA), 36-20, in a non-league test.
