The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ) and the host Mountain View Toros (Mesa, AZ), witnessed Higley's football squad edge Mountain View by a final score of 36-34.

With the win, Higley advances its record to 2-1 on the season. The Knights travel to Marana (Tucson, AZ) to confront the Tigers in a non-league contest on Thursday, October 2. The Tigers enter the bout with a record of 0-2.

The Toros now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they host McClintock for a non-league bout on Wednesday, October 1. Mountain View will encounter a Chargers team coming off a 0-0 non-league Horizon (Scottsdale, AZ). The Chargers record now stands at 0-1.
