September 25, 2025: Leland, NC 28451 The crowd at Thursday's non-league contest between the Topsail Pirates (Hampstead, NC) and the host North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC), witnessed Topsail's football squad edge North Brunswick by a tally of 15-14.
The Pirates (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Laney (Wilmington, NC). The Buccaneers enter the contest with a 3-3 record. In their last contest, Laney was nudged by Ashley (Wilmington, NC), 34-20, in a league contest.
Coming up next, the Scorpions battle the West Brunswick Trojans (Shallotte, NC) in a non-league contest, on Thursday, October 2. North Brunswick will attempt to advance on its 5-1 season record. The Trojans go into the battle with a 3-2 record after their 34-14 non-league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).
