The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the New Franklin Bulldogs (New Franklin, MO) and the visiting Sturgeon Bulldogs (Sturgeon, MO), observed New Franklin's softball squad nip Sturgeon by a score of 5-4.

With the triumph, New Franklin improves its record to 6-3 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to Van-Far (Vandalia, MO) to face the Indians in a non-league contest on Friday, September 26. The Indians enter the contest with a record of 2-3.

The Bulldogs now hold a 7-2 record. They take the field next when they host Glasgow for a non-league match on Thursday, October 2.
