September 26, 2024: Pine Ridge, SD 57770 The crowd at Thursday's league contest between the Little Wound Mustangs (Kyle, SD) and the host Mahpiya Luta Crusaders (Pine Ridge, SD), witnessed Little Wound's football squad edge Mahpiya Luta by a tally of 20-14.
The Mustangs (3-2) will now prepare for their contest against Winnebago (Winnebago, NE). The Indians enter the non-league contest with a 5-0 record. In their last contest, Winnebago got by Todd County (Mission, SD), 36-20, in a non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Crusaders battle the St. Francis Indian Warriors (St. Francis, SD) in a non-league contest, on Friday, October 4. Mahpiya Luta will attempt to better on its 0-5 season record. The Warriors enter the contest with a 1-4 record after their 70-18 non-league loss to Pine Ridge (Pine Ridge, SD).
