September 26, 2024: Livonia, LA 70755 Sumner Cowboys (Kentwood, LA) fans went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team triumph over the host Livonia Wildcats (Livonia, LA), 45-0 in a non-league battle.
With the win, Sumner improves its record to 4-0 on the season. The Cowboys host Franklinton (Franklinton, LA) to play the Demons in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. The Demons go into the battle with a record of 3-1. Franklinton won 61-13 in their recent non-league battle against Fontainebleau (Mandeville, LA)
The Wildcats now have a 1-4 record. They play next when they host Catholic of Pointe Coupee for a non-league battle on Friday, October 4. Livonia will play a Hornets team coming off a 14-9 league win over Westminster Academy (Opelousas, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 4-0.
