Ohio High School Football - Central Catholic thwarted by St. Ignatius
September 26, 2024: Toledo, OH 43608 St. Ignatius Wildcats (Cleveland, OH) followers went home in high spirits Thursday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Central Catholic Fighting Irish (Toledo, OH), 21-13 in a non-league battle.
With the win, St. Ignatius advances its record to 4-3 on the season. The Wildcats travel to St. Edward (Lakewood, OH) to play the Eagles in a non-league battle on Thursday, October 3. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 4-2. St. Edward lost 18-0 in their recent non-league battle against Glenville (Cleveland, OH)
The Fighting Irish now own a 2-1 record. They play next when they travel to St. John's Jesuit for a non-league battle on Saturday, October 5. Central Catholic will play a Titans team coming off a 34-14 non-league win over St. Francis de Sales (Toledo, OH). The Titans record now stands at 4-0.
